I became a member of Annuity Giants about six months ago after watching one of Tracy’s videos on YouTube. I was impressed by his advice and wanted to learn more. As a member of Annuity Giants, I can attend a one-hour weekly live webinar hosted by Tracy. These webinars are designed to educate, review case studies, and provide a platform for questions. About a month ago, Tracy hosted a webinar demonstrating how he uses a software program called Kwanti to backtest client portfolios. I was amazed by what he showed us and how he illustrates the information to clients using his custom Excel spreadsheets, which he shares with all members. Recently, I met with a new client and offered to analyze their long-held portfolio. I saw this as a perfect opportunity to apply what I had learned from Tracy’s video on backtesting portfolios. After inputting the portfolio holdings into Kwanti, I discovered that the equities had averaged a 9% return over the past five years, net of fees, and realized I wouldn’t be able to compete on that front. However, the bond allocations averaged only 1.50% over the same period, net of fees, and I knew I could improve this. Using Tracy’s Excel spreadsheet, I demonstrated to the client that by moving the bond portfolio to an indexed annuity, I could cover most of their RMDs with a lifetime income benefit rider. This would allow them to take smaller distributions from their equities for additional income, ultimately more than doubling their savings. The client was convinced by this strategy, which I had learned from Tracy’s video. Thank you Tracy, I appreciate all you do for us.
